There are many reasons why students want to apply to transfer their high school. Our professional advisors can provide a customize suggestion to our clients based on students’ personal situation. We can help students to develop an optimal application plan so that students and parents who are in trouble are no longer in a worry.

 

Canadian high schools are broadly divided into two categories: public high schools and private high schools. Students can choose to apply for IB, AP or the province's high school curriculum according to their own situation. In addition to learning program, students can also choose to live on-campus or off-campus. Studying in oversee high schools can allow students to adapt non-Chinese students in advance as well as their learning and teaching mode, which will lay out a foundation for students who want to pursue a future university abroad. The level of university where student attend in the future will depend on their high school grade. Therefore, there are some middle students will start their high school study abroad since grade 10 while most of the students will start to from their second semester of grade 10 or start from grade 11.

 

For those students who want to transfer high school from outside Canada to a Canadian high school, or for those study inside the Canadian high school but want to transfer to another Canadian high school students, our PIEG educational consultant will suggest students to plan as early as possible. Especially students should think about it before the applying season start and give themselves more time to make their decision. In general, what kind of materials are required for Canadian high school transfer applications? Our PIEG consultants suggested that each school has its own list of application materials, students should prepare the application materials base on specific school’s requirements. At the meanwhile, PIEG consultants will also help students to complete their application. Transfer application materials generally include:

  • Students’ current transcript
  • Application fee (This fee is non-refundable even students decide to not attend the school)
  • At least 2 recommendation letters; or complete at least 2 school-specific recommendation information forms
  • Might require a language test scores (Such as IELTS, TOEFL, etc.)
